Sam Pinto denies she will be a new host in Wowowee
Following the confirmation that Wowowee will have a new stage and set design very soon are rumors that there will also be additional female hosts on the show. Aside from Pokwang, Valerie Concepcion, RR Enriquez, and Mariel Rodriguez, there are also stories going around that Krista Ranillo and Sam Pinto are being eyed to join the top-rating noontime variety show. Sam had twice served as guest host for Wowowee, but when ABS-CBN.com interviewed her back stage at the Big Date on the Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up she dispelled the said rumor. “Chismis lang ‘yun! Wala pa naman silang sinasabi sa akin. They just invited me na maging guest co-host, ‘yun lang. I don’t think magre-regular ako dun.”
Sam said that she had a great time when she appeared as a guest host that’s why she will not think twice if she will be asked to be a regular in Wowowee. “I would love to. Enjoy siya gawin. Pero I think I need to do more workshop pa, ha ha ha!,” she candidly shared.
The 20-year-old ex-housemate was also rumored to be the new crush of Wowowee main man Willie Revillame, that’s why reports surfaced that Willie personally requested that she become a regular co-host in the show. Sam clarified, “Okay naman si Kuya Willie sa akin. He’s a very nice and generous guy. ‘Yun lang, wala nang ibang communication, o mga sinasabi nilang kung ano anong regalo daw na ibinibigay sa akin. Walang ganun.”
For now that PBB Double Up had just wrapped up its nineteen-week run, Sam is excited about the showbiz opportunities that awaits her. She, together with other ex-housemates Tom Rodriguez, Rica Paras, Riza Patria, Hermes Bautista, Cathy Remperas, and Second Big Placer Paul Jake Castillo recently met with the ABS-CBN creative team and Direk Ruel Bayani for a story conference and script reading, so this hints that very soon viewers will get to see these ex-housemates on the small screen once again.
ABS-CBN.com further asked Sam on her reaction regarding Paul Jake’s statement that ‘he is not interested in her.’ Sam just said, “I totally understand because he has a girlfriend. I admit na naging crush ko siya kasi I find him cute. Pero hanggang dun lang. Wala namang problema so if ever magkita kami I’m open into being friends with him.” In a separate interview few days after the Big Night, Paul Jake confessed to ABS-CBN.com that he really finds Sam very pretty, but he is just not the type of boyfriend who would look at other girls as he is very much happy with his girlfriend.
